Denver Health and Fitness is a Premier Fitness Club with 2 locations in Denver, NC. We are looking for an individual who has a positive attitude, tremendous work ethic, and love being part of a team. We want to add to our amazing customer service and sales team.

This person will be trained to assist with club tours, membership sales, front desk coverage, and other miscellaneous duties. It’s critical that the person filling this role be responsible and provide a first-class customer service experience to all members, staff, and guests.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enthusiastically greets each members and guests promptly using the proper greeting for time of day to create a friendly positive entrance and departure to and from the club.
  • Greet every member and guest with a smile, warm welcome
  • All Front Desk / Customer Service Team Members will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service and cleanliness to Denver Health & Fitness members, prospective members and guests.
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions
  • Sign guests up for memberships using proper process.
  • Assist with billing questions and handling member concerns
  • Inventory management of drinks, cooler goods, and protein bars. Merchandising products and keeping the cooler stocked.
  • Register all guests / check in members into the gym using proper registration procedures.
  • Monitor check-ins to identify delinquent accounts and notify / work with the member to correct the issue.
  • Support the promotion of our DHF Core Values by engaging with members on the club floor, delivering aid, and expressing encouragement in their fitness journeys, all while upholding club regulations.
  • Carry out tasks related to memberships sales, including registrations, updates to contact/billing information, cancellations, collecting outstanding balances.
  • Conduct calls and tours for prospects helping them understand membership options and services they desire.
  • Complete retail transactions accurately and work towards achieving sales objectives.
  • Every team member is responsible for assisting the housekeeping team and the cleanliness of the club. Refilling paper products, wiping down equipment, and making sure all areas of the club are fully stocked.
  • Regularly perform thorough walkthroughs of the club; promptly rectify any safety/policy breaches and attend to cleanliness issues.
  • Quickly manage maintenance and facility concerns, including broken or missing equipment such as dispensers, leaky faucets, and fixtures.

Sales:

  • Follows up on all prospects by using established sales systems.
  • Conducts gym tours
  • Conducts telephone inquiries
  • Establishes and maintain referral programs and lead sources throughout the community
  • Must be current on company’s Company pricing and promotion schedule.
  • Maintains information on club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff and policies.
  • Assumes responsibility for developing consultative selling skills.
  • Prepares for, attends and actively participates in staff meetings.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with the rest of the staff.  Supports other staff in achieving their goals and company goals.
  • Participates in all scheduled meetings as directed by the General Manager

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Denver Health and Fitness is a Premier Fitness Club with 2 locations in Denver, NC. We are looking for an energetic Kids’ Zone Attendant to join our team! You will spend your working with children in group activities, maintaining a clean, fun and safe environment for children of all ages while their parents / guardians enjoy the amenities of the club.

 

Position Summary:

The Kids Zone Team Member provides all the necessary primary care for infants, independent and group activities for toddlers and direct supervision of older children in a specific area of the gym. Primary job is to ensure the safety and security of all children while in the Kids Club care.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Cares for children in a defined area of the gym for the attending member(s).
  • Organizes and participates in recreational activities, such as games.
  • Reads to children and provides them with simple crafts such as drawing.
  • Care for special needs children as needed to include securing the children in equipment, such as chairs and slings
  • Organizes and stores toys and materials to ensure order in the Kids Club area
  • Must portray a fun and energetic demeanor
  • Sanitizes toys, play equipment, and complete the daily cleaning checklist
  • Ensures that all necessary paperwork is completed as needed to include accident reports, sign-in sheets, weekly tally sheets, and opening and closing sheets
  • Attends all required staff meetings
  • Pages parent/guardian if necessary to attend to discipline issues and attend to personal needs (diaper changing, changing clothes, restroom assistance)
  • Ensures parents are adhering to the Kids Club policies and signs child in and out of the facility
  • Ensures that all safety precautions are taken when receiving and releasing children to the parent/legal guardian by using the Parental ID check-in process.
  • Must ensure no drinks or foods are in the Kids Club
  • Must be accountable for children at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years childcare experience preferred
  • Must obtain Infant and Child First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to safely lift and hold children
  • Ability to set up play equipment and pick up toys
  • Must be able to communicate well with children
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with adult parent(s) required
  • Requires the ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work at either location (DHF1 or DHF2)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging and effective group fitness classes in various modalities based on certifications.

Denver Health & Fitness is currently looking for dynamic, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals, to coach our CrossFit classes. The DHF CrossFit Coach will diligently explain the daily workouts, demonstrate movements, and instruct members/athletes on proper technique throughout the entire class. The perfect candidate will help drive the CrossFit community environment that CrossFit is known for.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain positive and friendly demeanor.
  • Run CrossFit or specialty classes ranging from 2-25 people.
  • Willing to coach approximately 4-8 classes a week.
  • Demonstrate proper form and technique
  • Ensure classes are effective, safe and fun.
  • Offer additional support to help athletes achieve their fitness goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current athletes and convert potential athletes.
  • Engage DHF social media platforms and help participate in social media presence.
  • Promote all internal programs and events
  • Promote all internal special offers.
  • Always promote the DHF community and family atmosphere.
  • Help maintain a spotless facility.

Qualifications / Skill Set:

  • Must be able manage a group of 15+ people in class.
  • Must feel comfortable being on social media.

  • Motivated, self-starter that will enjoy helping to grow our community.
  • Passion for health and fitness.
  • Must hold a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate.
  • Must have at least 1 year of CrossFit coaching experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science is preferred, but not required.
